Robert L. Cope represents clients of the Firm on commercial issues and has an active litigation practice. He has been lead counsel in cases setting precedents on regulatory controls over transportation charges. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law, Mr. Cope subsequently was a law clerk to Justice Lawrence Holman of the Missouri Supreme Court. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Missouri, Maryland, and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and all the United States Courts of Appeals. Professional organizations to which Mr. Cope belongs are the Maryland and American Bar Associations (Section on Administrative Law). He is the author of a number of published articles including “The Evolution of Contract Ratemaking In Surface Transportation,” Transportation Law Institute, University of Denver College of Law; and “Surface Transportation Intermediaries, Their Status and Liability,” Transportation Law Institute, University of Denver College of Law. Andrew M. Danas represents clients of the Firm on general commercial and regulatory issues. Mr. Danas has a specialized knowledge regarding legal issues involving companies engaged in international trade and transportation. A graduate of the University of Connecticut (B.A. cum laude) and the National Law Center of the George Washington University, Washington, D.C., Mr. Danas is a member of the bar of the District of Columbia, and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Court of International Trade, and various United States Courts of Appeals.
